as we live we need to eat, but only eat the best food from the best cooker.

Fried tofu with chilies sauce, don't wait try it right now, don't missed it up. It suitable for everyone, those who don't like eat vegetable it can be replace with tofu, because the benefit is as much as vegetable.

 This menu is a very simple menu , you don't need much ingredient and it easy to cook, somehow tofu is very beneficial to our health, as we know tofu is made by soy bean that rich with vitamin and mineral.  It is high in protein, low in saturated fats and a good source of calcium as well as vitamin E. It is also cholesterol free. Also known as the cheese of Asia.
 
Ingredients
  • 1 block of firm tofu, sliced lengthwise 0.5 inch thick, patted dry
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic,dice
  • 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of chili bean sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 0.25 to 0.5 cup of water
  • 1.5 tablespoons of corn starch water or more to desired consistency

How to cook

  • Firstly heat a hot pan, add a tablespoon of Seri Murni oil and fry tofu on each side until golden yellow. 
  •  Fry about 1 - 2 minutes each side. Put pan fried tofu aside when finished.
  • Prepare all of the vegetables. Heat a wok over high heat.
  • Second, Add another tablespoon of Seri Murni oil when the wok is hot and add in dice onions. Saute for about 1 - 2 minutes then add dice garlic until fragrant.
  • Toss in the green peppers and stir fry for another minute.
  • Add in the chili bean sauce and oyster sauce with a 1/2 cup of water. Add a little more water to the wok if the sauce is too thick. Reduce the sauce for 1 minute.
  • Thicken the sauce with the corn starch dissolved in cold water until thickened to your desired consistency.
  • Lastly,  the vegetables and sauce over the fried tofu and serve immediately for more delicious serve with hot white rice.

Palembang Chicken ( Ayam Palembang )

History of ' Palembang"

Palembang is place where Parameswara came from, He's was a prince of Palembang. Palembang is the capital city of south Sumatra Province in Indonesia. Palembang is one of the oldest cities in Indonesia with a lot of history as a capital of a maritime empire. Located on the Musi River banks on the east coast of southern Sumatra island.
As what my mother said, this menu is actually from there, but when it come to Malaysia it has been modified to telly with Malaysian people taste. This menu are superb delicious is actually from my late grand mom, she teach my mother this menu because this is our family heritage menu, we inherit this from one generation to another and now is my time, I' we like to share this menu with all or you. Taste the difference, is totally delicious and marvelous, so lets start cooking.

Ingredient 
  • Fresh Chicken - 1.4kg chicken cut to smaller pieces.
  • Blended chilies - 200 gram
  • Soy sauce - 100 gram
  • salt, ajinamoto and sugar - 1 tablespoon each
  • onion, garlic, ginger and lemongrass - blended
  • lime leaves - 3-4 pieces
  • cooking oil - Seri Murni oil is recommended 

How to cook 
  • First of all, heat cooking oil in a wok around 1 minute, then pour all blended ingredient, cook till it turn golden yellow.
  • secondly, add soy sauce  to the wok and heat until bubbling mix with blended ingredient and cook for next 2 minute.
  • On next pan heat about 1 tablespoon of oil in the wok and stir fry diced onion for a minute or two. Add chilies and stir fry for another.
  • after the chilies well cook mix together with blended ingredient and stir it well, make sure the ingredient mix enough.
  • Next,  Deep fry chicken in batches or fry in a wok until golden brown. Drain until oil free.
  • Add chicken stirring to fully coat with the sauce.
  • lastly add lime leaves for more taste.
  • For more taste, eat with hot white rice, superb delicious...
